| Can the BEETLE be used for beveling of
Pipes ? |
Yes it can be used to bevel pipes. |
| What is the diameter range of the pipes
that can be beveled ? |
There are two Pipe beveling attachments available
for Pipe
Beveling The standard Pipe beveling set is suitable for diameterrange
150mm - 300mm (6" -12") and the Modified Pipe
bevelingattachment is suitable for range 258mm - 600mm (10"- 24") |
| What is the minimum pipe length required
when using the Pipe Beveling Attachments ? |
This is determined by the height of pipe beveling
attachments(that is 75mm) and also by the particular way the machine is
fixedon the the pipe. |
| What is the minimum wall thickness of the
Pipe for beveling ? |
The wall thickness should not be less than 4mm -
5mm |
| What is the Beveling speed possible ? |
The Actual working (beveling) speed depends on the
operator, material to be beveled and machine setting as it is manual fed
machine. |
| What is the Minimum and maximum thickness
of plates that can be beveled by the BEETLE ? |
Minimum thickness is 5 mm as thinner plates could
bend with the weight of the machine. There is no maximum thickness
limit. |
| What is the maximum bevel width possible
with BEETLE ? |
The BEETLE can made a bevel width of upto 20mm.
|
| What are the type of inserts used in
BEETLE ? |
Ceramic Metal inserts are used in BEETLE. Each
insert has got 4 cutting edges. If the bevel width is upto 10mm , it is
also possible to turn insert from left to right (this way there are 8
cutting edges). |
| What is the life of inserts ? |
It depends on the material to be beveled and can
go upto max. 2000m with one set. |
| Can TCT inserts be used on the BEETLE ? |
TCT inserts cannot be used on BEETLE as they are
brittle and BEETLE is portable and manual machine and its inserts should
be particularly impact resistance. This is the reason that BEETLE uses
ceramic metal inserts that are especially designed.
The BEETLE is equipped with 2 milling heads each having 6 inserts. The
inserts between the two heads should have a gap of about 0.2mm to 0.3mm |
| Can the BEETLE be used for facing off of
plate edge ? |
Yes, by using the accessory Facing-Off attachment
zero angle beveling can be done ( edge facing) BEELTE can be used for
beveling angles from 0° - 60° |
| What is the type of motor used on the
BEETLE ? |
BEETLE is equipped with a induction motor with
increased startup current and power of 1.1 KW . It runs on Single
phase 230V, 50 Hz. |
| What is the minimum plate width required
and minimum space required for machine operation? |
Minimum 80-100mm of plate width is required and
320-350mm of space (Approx) |
